1. To commemorate the Shahidi Gurpurab of Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji, a Mahaan Kirtan Darbar is being organised by the sangat of Winnipeg under the auspicies of the Winnipeg South Sikh Center at the gurdwara at 500 Dovercourt Drive. Kirtan Darbar would be held on June 20, 2009 and start at 6PM and end around midnight. Raagi Jathas from all gurdwaras would perform kirtan for about 30 min each. The sangat is requested to come out in big numbers to make it a success.
    2. The next kirtan darbar would be held in fall of 2009 at the Pipeline Gurdwara. Dates would be put up here once confirmed.
    3. Bhangra classes are held every Monday from 6-7PM. This is followed by Rehraas Sahib where all students are expected o participate.
    4. Naam simran is held at the gurdwara every Friday from 6PM. Rehraas sahib followed by simran, kirtan and ardas are performed by the devotees. This is followed by guru-ka-langar. The sangat is requested to make full use of this oppurtunity and seek the guru's blessings.
    5. Akhand Path sahib to seek the Guru's blessings for sarbat da bhalaa in the new year 2009 would be held at the gurdwara from December 30, 2008 to Janary 1, 2009. Bhog would be at 5.30 PM on Jan 1, 2009 followed by Kirtan Darbar.
    6. Birthday of Dasmesh pita sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji would be celebrated on January 5, 2009 from 6-8PM. Children are encouraged to prepare shabads or presentations depicting the life and contributions of the Tenth Master.
